Truing Methods
Trudi has three truing methods.
Full True
Full true is the most common and comprehensive truing method to use and it allows Trudi to touch every spoke on the wheel.
This is the default truing method and will produce the best results in most situations as Trudi will correct for lateral and radial runout, dish, and spoke tension all at once.
Quick True
For the quick true method Trudi will touch only 4 spokes on the wheel. This method is useful when your wheel is within tolerance for radial runout, dish, and spoke tension, and only requires a small adjustment to the lateral runout.
Quick Dish
The quick dish method allows Trudi to touch every spoke on one side of the wheel. This is a useful method when the wheel’s radial runout, and spoke tension are all within tolerance, but the dish and/or lateral runout is not.
Trudi will also true the wheel using the quick dish method, so a small amount of lateral runout will be corrected at the same time. Advanced users may find this a useful way of saving time compared to a full true once the wheel is close to being finished.

Changing truing methods
Tapping the currently selected truing method on the tablet will cycle through the truing methods

Position the Lateral Gauge with 12 - 18mm of compressed spring.
Position the Radial Gauge with 7 - 10mm of compressed spring.
NOTE: To help with spacing use the side of the tensiometer
The face plate is 8.4mm = perfect for spacing the radial gap.
The handle is 12.4mm = perfect for spacing the lateral gap.
